Rust converter

This product is a new-type metal rust removal and conversion product developed by adopting advanced polymer emulsion, integrating metal chelating technology, passivation technology, and anti-rust technology. It can achieve the dual effects of rust removal and anti-rust. The rust removal is uniform and thorough, and it has a strong removing force for rust, scale, and other impurities on the steel surface. It can penetrate for rust removal and can be used without grinding the rusted parts. It has technical advantages such as conversion rust removal, anti-corrosion and anti-rust, non-toxic and environmental protection, and can replace the primer. It complies with the HG/T 5176-2017 standard.

Usage Instructions

The steel and iron surfaces with appropriate degreasing, rust scale, and mill scale, and the base material with manually removed rust (the pretreatment level of VCI - 901 is required to be Sa1 grade).

Sa1 grade: The lightly rust-removed surface should have no visible dirt, grease, and loosely attached scale, paint coating, rust, and impurities.

Construction method: Shake or stir this product well before use: brush painting, spray painting, and dip coating are all acceptable.

Pretreatment process: Use a degreaser (dishwashing detergent or the same kind of neutral degreaser, etc.) to remove the oil stain on the metal surface.

Rinse the surface with a high-pressure water gun at close range from multiple angles, and use an electric wire brush or hand brush to remove the stubbornly attached parts, and then clean them with a high-pressure water gun in the same way.

After pretreatment, start formal spraying of VCI - 901 after the working surface is dry.

uFormal spraying: Construct according to the severity of rust on the working surface. Spray one coat of VCI - 901 for light rust and two coats for heavy rust.

Stir VCI - 901 evenly before construction, clean the spray gun with clean water, add the evenly stirred VCI - 901, and then adjust the spray gun nozzle diameter and pressure to the ideal degree (30 - 50 microns). You can first adjust the spray gun angle, pressure, and distance with clean water.

First, use a brush to paint the corners and narrow positions, and then use a spray gun to paint the rest of the large area. After spraying, use a wet film thickness gauge to measure at multiple points.
When the second coat of VCI - 901 needs to be sprayed, the time interval between the two coats is 10 - 20 minutes (depending on the weather humidity, temperature, and film thickness), and the surface can be checked by hand touch, taking the surface dry as the standard.

Finally, conduct a comprehensive inspection again, including factors that will affect the product performance such as thickness, uniformity, and leakage points.

Safety Disposal

Labor protection precautions: This product is acidic, so pay attention to labor protection when using it. Operators should wear work clothes, acid and alkali resistant rubber gloves, and other labor protection supplies.

In case of skin contact, rinse immediately with water and soap; in case of eye contact, rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention immediately. Contact with skin, clothing, wood, cement, etc. will leave color stains.

When used at home, it should be placed out of the reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion. In case of accidental ingestion, induce vomiting immediately and send to the hospital for treatment immediately.

Storage and Transportation Information

Storage: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and ventilated place, with a shelf life of two years.

Transportation: Handle with care during loading and unloading to prevent damage to the packaging and container; prevent sun exposure, rain, and high temperatures during transportation.
